This is the first quilt I have washed and dried and it ran a lot! I wash all quilts in cold water, and dry them on regular temp. I recently washed all my “flag-colored” quilts and none of them ran. 😦

While this is a simple 2 1/2″ block scrap quilt, I got my idea from this awesome book. I’m not much into quilting books, but I absolutely LOVE this book! I’m planning on doing all 16 quilts in the book. The instructions are great!!

Not something I would normally choose to make, but I won the pattern at “Midnight Madness” at www.quiltsandtreasuresinc.com. It was supposed to be appliquéd, but I don’t do that. I gave it to my Mom for Christmas.
